72nd Annual Versailles Poultry Day

Versailles welcomes you to the 72nd Annual Versailles Poultry Days to be held June 9, 10, and 11th in 2023. Always the second full weekend in June.

In 2022 Versailles increased sales of their World-Famous Chicken dinners despite rain. This year 35,600 were served which is a new record and might be the World’s Largest Chicken Barbecue. Have you heard of any larger? 14,000 dinners were served Friday, 13,000 Saturday and 8,600 on Sunday. Bulk chicken continued to be a favorite with many more businesses taking advantage of the “with sides” option to serve their employees. The festivals all time sales totals broke 1.1 million dinners served which for all the chicken nerds is an average of nearly 2 dinners per hour since June 5, 1952. Two Semi loads of chicken, a mountain of supplies and an army volunteers.
