Jeanne Fehskens is an artist who’s recovering her creative spirit, and we’re thrilled she’s the newest member of The ARTery at Front Street. A former textile designer, a few years ago she dove into EcoPrinting using leaves in a natural dyeing process and has been experimenting with mixing in a variety of media ever since. She’s already shown her work in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus! Come meet Jeanne and see her new work on First Friday in November.

Speaking of First Friday, ARTery members will host the gallery’s second annual pARTy at the ARTery from 5-9pm. Visitors can enjoy light refreshments and wine as we thank our loyal patrons and toast another successful year at Front Street. The ARTery will also be open on November 25 (Small Business Saturday) from 11-4 for Front Street’s Christkindl Market.

The ARTery’s Visiting Artist for Third Sunday in November is Judy Hardman, who specializes in watercolor. She uses a loose, expressive style to create her custom pet portraits, wildlife paintings, and notecards. Trish McKinney, a well-known painter from Tipp City, has been Judy’s mentor and teacher. A career pharmacist, Judy did not study painting until after her retirement, proving it’s never too late to discover one’s artistic talent and bliss!

Fabienne ‘Fab’ Bee is The ARTery’s November Artist of the Month. Her acrylic creations capture the vibrant colors of the world around us. Fab’s current series depicts the nature and farmlands that sustain us physically and mentally. Fabienne likes the character antique frames give to some of her works. “Some frames may be dented or scratched, just like people and the planet,” she says.
