DESCRIPTION:The Spring rendition of the Girls on the Run 5k will return to Wright State University.  Girls on the Run is an incredible program that inspires girls to be joyful\, healthy and confident using a fun\, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.  Girls on the Run strives for a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.\nAs many of you know\, our Girls on the Run participants traditionally run alongside an adult Running Buddy. The job of the Running Buddy is to provide one-on-one support and encouragement to their girl as she takes on a great challenge. YOU can help our girls find their happy pace and share in the magic of helping her cross the finish line.  The race day give-away is a Girls On The Run branded reusable bag and is first come first served – so don’t wait to sign up!\nBack this year\, we are continuing a Fun Run.  The half-mile fun run will start and finish at the same start finish line as the 5K.  It will start at 12:30pm. This race will not be timed\, but we will run the clock for participants to see their time.  It is open to anyone not quite ready to take on the entire 5K – and a great opportunity for younger siblings and friends!\n  \nWhen: Saturday\, April 25\, 2026. 5k at 1:00pm. Some of the city’s distinctive and significant structures were demolished\, while others\, including the Dayton Arcade and Centre City Building\, saw challenging times but now await redevelopment. Explore and learn about the diverse selection of retail\, industrial\, entertainment\, and residential sites on this guided walking tour of Downtown Dayton. \nOur guided downtown walking tours will launch promptly at 5:30 p.m. from the Dayton Arcade entrance on Fourth Street. This 90-minute\, 1.5-mile tour may be deemed strenuous by some\, and patrons should be able to walk/navigate city sidewalks and streets. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle if needed. Tours will launch rain or shine\, except in the event of thunder or lightning.

Monument Ave. \nFrom 7 to 9 a.m.\, hundreds of cycling enthusiasts will gather to enjoy a free\, flying pancake breakfast\, coffee\, live music\, cycling-related exhibitors\, a photobooth and more during this celebration of human-powered transportation. \n“The morning is all about celebrating the positive impacts human-powered transportation can have on your body\, wellbeing and the planet\,” said MetroParks Special Events Coordinator Chris Buck Plus\, why not make your commute to work an actual adventure?” \nIn 2025\, more than 400 cyclists rode over 5\,500 miles to RiverScape MetroPark. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPre-Register Your Ride\n\nPre-registering your ride allows you to get to your pancakes a little quicker and helps our volunteers get you signed in upon arrival. Pre-registering is easy and can be done online.
