DESCRIPTION:Join us as Dave Nolan leads us on a hike on one of the trails at this restored prairie where the Wright Brothers learned to control their “Flying Machine.” By this time of the year\, many of the native plants will be in full bloom\, including some that are considered “threatened” per the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.\nWe will be meeting at the kiosk / parking lot located along Pylon Road at the trailhead for the inner trail loop.\n\nPlease RSVP at this link so we can be sure to inform you of any changes: https://us7.list-manage.com/survey…\n\nNote that some mapping programs might provide inaccurate directions due to the restricted roads along the base. The safest way is to put “Twin Base Golf Club” into your mapping program. When you leave route 444\, you will be on Communication Blvd. From there turn left once you reach Hebble Creek Road\, turn right on Marl Road and then turn right on Pylon Road. Some woodland trails\, so we’ll get off the pavement for a little while. \nHashing in General: This is a fun run or hike where you will follow a trail of flour not knowing exactly where it will lead. One or more beer/water stops along the way! In hashing you’ll will be running/walking as part of a group. The faster runners will be out ahead looking for flour marks on the ground trying to figure out which way the trail route goes. Sometimes they go the wrong way which allows the slowr unners/walkers to catch up and even get ahead. This allows everyone to go at their own pace and stay together as a group. \nDogs: Allowed on trail. Leash is required. You’ll immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of Fall season foliage as you gleefully hash through Shiggyland. Trail is medium length A to B. Lots of hills and new territory that we never hashed before. We’ll ferry people back to the cars. \nHashing in General: This is a fun run or hike where you will follow a trail of flour not knowing exactly where it will lead. One or more beer/water stops along the way! In hashing you’ll will be running/walking as part of a group. DESCRIPTION:Many of the places that helped make Dayton a center of innovation were lost to history\, while others survived and adapted\, representing the city’s spirit of revitalization. Some of the city’s distinctive and significant structures were demolished\, while others\, including the Dayton Arcade and Centre City Building\, saw challenging times but now await redevelopment. Explore and learn about the diverse selection of retail\, industrial\, entertainment\, and residential sites on this guided walking tour of Downtown Dayton. \nTours are available on Fridays beginning May 2 and run through October 2025. The cost is $10 per person and reservations are required to attend. \nOur guided downtown walking tours will launch promptly at 5:30 p.m. from the Dayton Arcade entrance on Fourth Street. This 90-minute\, 1.5-mile tour may be deemed strenuous by some\, and patrons should be able to walk/navigate city sidewalks and streets. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle if needed. Tours will launch rain or shine\, except in the event of thunder or lightning.

DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate “World Water Day” with a Hike for H2O! The hike will be along the paved bike path that is known as Ohio’s most narrow state park – the Little Miami Scenic Trail and Park.\n\nParticipants can walk at their own pace or stick with the group – no pressure\, just enjoy the sites and sounds of nature. Along the path we set up trail signs with spoken stories of the natural history and communities that have been a part of the Little Miami River for centuries. We will come together at the beginning for a pre-hike stretch at our meeting point along the path.\n\nRefreshments\, good company\, and a shuttle back to your vehicle in Corwin will be waiting in Oregonia for all participants.\nRegistration is required.
