DESCRIPTION:Every Thursday at 6pm in May we will be paddling around Island MetroPark. Find us at the dock across the street from the park entrance! 102 East Helena Street\, Dayton\, Ohio 45404.\n\nYak ’n Yak is a laid-back\, bring-your-own-vessel paddle crew—just a way to get on the river with good people when it works for you. Weekly weeknight paddles are focused on ease with no shuttling. We plan to coordinate more group shuttling outings over select weekends. If we get requests\, we can coordinate rentals with @taiterskayak for those who don’t own a vessel.\n\n\n\nA few important things to know:\nYou’re paddling at your own risk. You’re responsible for your safety\, decisions\, and gear.\nThis is not a guided trip. No leaders\, no guarantees\, no safety calls being made for you.\nWe are not a river experts. Conditions (weather\, water levels\, etc.) are on you to check and decide.\nCome prepared. Bring proper equipment—yes\, that includes a life jacket.\nUse your judgment. Know your limits and paddle accordingly.\nIf you register at the link in our bio for updates and calendars— Calendar = coordination only. It shows who might be going\, not who’s in charge.\nKeep it casual. This is just an easy\, informal way to get out on the water.

Some of the city’s distinctive and significant structures were demolished\, while others\, including the Dayton Arcade and Centre City Building\, saw challenging times but now await redevelopment. Explore and learn about the diverse selection of retail\, industrial\, entertainment\, and residential sites on this guided walking tour of Downtown Dayton. \nOur guided downtown walking tours will launch promptly at 5:30 p.m. from the Dayton Arcade entrance on Fourth Street. This 90-minute\, 1.5-mile tour may be deemed strenuous by some\, and patrons should be able to walk/navigate city sidewalks and streets. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle if needed. Tours will launch rain or shine\, except in the event of thunder or lightning.
