DESCRIPTION:Ohio Poetry Association (OPA)\, in partnership with Miami Valley Astronomical Society\, presents the fifth Sun & Moon Poetry Festival\, May 15–17\, 2026\, in Yellow Springs\, Ohio. \nPoets and poetry lovers are invited to explore the theme\, “Navigate with Poetry\,” during a weekend of writing workshops\, readings\, stargazing\, and other activities that culminate in a celebration of poetry and the cosmos. Keynote guest Geoffrey Landis is a poet\, science fiction writer\, and scientist whose writing has appeared in more than twenty languages. \nAdditional workshop leaders for the weekend are renowned poets Lauren Camp\, Manuel Iris\, Paula Lambert\, and Dior J. Stephens. A special haiku hike will offer visitors a chance to hear poems in the beautiful setting of Glen Helen Nature Preserve. DESCRIPTION:SHOCK THEATRE LIVE is a multimedia rock and roll theater piece that follows five misfit kids as they attend a concert by their favorite band\, The Creepy Crawlers \n \nAlong the way\, they share their struggles\, their dreams\, and ultimately discover that they’re not alone\, and by the end of the show\, they don’t just meet the band… they become them! The show is about finding your place in a complicated world\, and how so-called “freaks” or “horror kids” aren’t broken\, they’re just expressing truth through a different lens. It’s loud\, funny\, heartfelt\, and a love letter to all the outsiders trying to belong. \nThe show is part of Dayton Live’s inaugural Emerging Artists series\, and pays homage to the legacy of local horror-hosted television\, including the original “Shock Theater” featuring Dr. Creep (Barry Hobart). \nSHOCK THEATRE LIVE is rated PG-13 for strong language and mature references.
