DESCRIPTION:The Handbell Choir of St. Augustine Lutheran Church in Gotha\, Germany embarks on its sixth tour in Ohio\, ending with a concert at Epiphany on SATURDAY\, AUGUST 2\, at 7 p.m. in the Far Hills Sanctuary.  \nThis ensemble was founded in 1987 through the efforts of Epiphany Lutheran in Dayton and Pastor Larry Hoffsis and his wife Cindy\, who travelled to West Germany and brought sets of bells through the Iron Curtain. The current choir consists of 15 youth and adults\, ringing five+ octaves of handbells.  \nThis concert is free and open to the public with a free-will offering accepted. SUMMARY:Art on the Lawn
DESCRIPTION:More than 100 artists from Ohio and beyond will gather to show and sell their original fine art and fine crafts at this year’s Art on the Lawn on Saturday\, August 9\, from 10 am-5 pm\, rain or shine. This popular\, free\, outdoor festival of art\, food and music\, now in its 41st year\, is sponsored by Village Artisans Gallery of Yellow Springs. Both new and returning artists will display their ceramics\, drawings\, fiber art\, garden art\, glass\, jewelry\, leatherwork\, mixed media\, paper craft\, paintings\, photography and more. Food vendors and live music complement the outstanding\, juried artwork throughout the festival. \nART ON THE LAWN will be located just east of 118 East North College Street on the property that will be the new home of the Yellow Springs Senior Center\, and on part of the property owned by the Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative. We are very grateful to both of these non-profits for letting us use their space. \n*Dogs and other pets are kindly requested to not attend the fair. The Dayton Tattoo Festival offers a selection of over 200 of the best artists from all over the world right here in Dayton for three days of tattooing\, art making\, merch selling\, and much more. \nAt the Festival\, attendees will have the opportunity to get tattooed from traveling and local artists alike. Many artists will book the festival in advance\, but there will be opportunities each day to find artists that are taking walk up tattoos on a first come first serve basis. \nIf you do not want to get  tattooed over the weekend you will not be short of entertainment. Artists and vendors alike will be selling merchandise\, there will be contests where you can enter your tattoos that you have previously collected\, watch contests take place\, and see some of the best artists from across the globe practice their craft. \nTattoo artists will have the opportunity to buy supplies from a variety of vendors for use at the festival and to take back to their home shop. There will be a tattoo of the day competition daily to show off the best tattoos made at the Festival. \nWhether you are coming to the Dayton Tattoo Festival for your first tattoo\, your 100th\, or just to have fun\, we are happy to have you\, and cannot wait to see you there.
