SUMMARY:Clay Tree Luminaries
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a cozy morning of clay with a fun luminary project (which could easily serve as a cute night or a holiday gift for a special someone!)\, no clay experience required! These little tree luminaries are simple in their construction to make\, but decorating them is the best part! Each family will receive a 2lb pre-rolled slab of clay (can make approximately 2 medium luminaries or 3-4 smaller ones\, max is 4 please!)  as well as an armature to wrap their clay on. There will be tools to make small punches\, and glaze to decorate with! Please allow 2-3.5 weeks as these need ample time to dry before firing. Each luminary will receive 1 LED tea light with pickup. Participants will be notified by Moraine Parks and Recreation when they’re ready. Registration is required. Register one person per 4 family members. If there are more than 4 family members\, please register an additional family member. This is not a drop-off program.

Scott also writes “Baby Blues”\, another popular comic strip that appears in the Dayton Daily News. Each has won the prestigious Reuben Award for Cartoonist of the Year\, and Borgman received the 1991 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning at the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Tickets are $10 and are available online at  www.sinclair.edu/tickets. Groups of 20 or more ordering online save all ticketing fees. Every performance will be interpreted by American Sign Language (ASL) shadow performers.  \nWhen the family pets are left alone on Christmas Eve\, they are visited by the neighborhood animals who teach them that humans celebrate winter holidays in different ways.  They learn about Hanukkah\, Kwanzaa and La Posada and discover that while humans have different traditions\, ultimately all celebrations are about love and togetherness.    \n“This production is the result of a lovely collaboration between Sinclair’s Theatre department and Interpreter Education department\,” says director Kelsey Celek. “In the same way the play’s characters share their traditions and cultures\, these departments are sharing their skills and resources. SUMMARY:Wright State VMAS Fifth Annual Cornhole Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Open to the public and family-friendly\, the Fifth Annual ‘Wright State Veteran and Military Alumni Society’ Cornhole Tournament will be held on April 11th at AMVETS Post 464 in Dayton\, Ohio. Doors open at 11:15 AM for check-in and the tournament briefing will begin at 12 PM. Register as a player or as a spectator with the cost of registration including lunch\, drink tickets\, raffle tickets\, and more. \nTeams are guaranteed at least three games with their registration. Play will continue until the first round of the losers bracket has been filled\, at that time we will take a break to draw raffle items which will ensure the first round of teams eliminated can leave at their leisure.
