Know a student interested in music? Tell them about the Free Levitt Songwriting Fall Program: five inspiring and interactive workshops that guide students through writing songs, collaborating, recording, and music-video making. Everything it takes to be an artist in the real world, no prior experience necessary. There will be five inspiring and interactive workshops that get the next generation of songwriters creating original works, collaborating on their ideas, making music videos, and experiencing what it takes to be an artist in the real world. The workshops begin Oct 3 and will run through Dec 1, 2020 aimed at youth ages 10 – 17.

Using Zoom, students meet with artist mentors in five workshop sessions over the fall semester that focus on the skills it takes to have a career in the arts: musicianship, songwriting, recording, collaboration, content creation, and releasing music. Students also become part of the Levitt Virtual Songwriter community on Discord, where they stay in contact with mentors, receive weekly writing prompts, share their songs, and can receive 24/7 support during the program.
