DESCRIPTION:Rosewood Arts Center in Kettering\, Ohio announces a call for entries for the 32nd Annual The View\, a juried exhibition for Ohio artists presenting landscape or land imagery\, environmental themes and world issues. Submissions will be accepted starting Sunday\, February 1\, 2026 on Call for Entry. Entries must be original works in any media (2-D or 3-D)\, completed within the last four years. Jurying will take place from digital images. Work previously exhibited at Rosewood is not eligible. Completed entries (entry form\, digital images\, and non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to 3 works)\, will be accepted through CallforEntry.org through April 23\, 2026. The exhibition runs from June 8 through July 18\, 2026. Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. \nArtists must agree to the Gallery Virtual Group Exhibition Agreement to participate in a group exhibition.

DESCRIPTION:Works on Paper is a juried exhibition created for artists living within a 40-mile radius of Dayton\, Ohio. This annual exhibition features two-and three-dimensional works of art on or of paper. Artist awards totaling $1\,100 will be selected by the juror James Pate. Gallery visitors will select a People’s Choice Award made possible through the Joan W. McCoy Memorial Art Fund. The exhibition will be on display from January 20 to February 28\, 2026 with a closing reception on Saturday\, February 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. \nAbout the Juror: James Pate is an award-winning artist\, born in Birmingham\, Alabama\, and raised in Cincinnati\, Ohio. His work has been exhibited in a number of galleries and museums\, including the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis\, TN\, and the DuSable Museum in Chicago\, IL. He has received countless commissions from a diverse array of entities\, including the Duke Energy Convention Center\, Cincinnati\, Oh\, and the prestigious law firm\, Wilmer Hale\, Washington\, DC.

DESCRIPTION:The 19th Annual HWD Juried Sculpture Exhibition is on display in the Kettering Health Art Gallery at Rosewood Arts Center! HWD (Height x Width x Depth) is a juried exhibition for sculpture artists in Ohio and surrounding states and is the area’s only gallery exhibition devoted exclusively to sculpture. This year 53 artists submitted 141 pieces from which the juror\, Justin Teilhet\, chose 30 artworks representing 23 artists. \nThe exhibition will be on view from Monday\, September 29 to Saturday\, November 8\, 2025. SUMMARY:Rosewood Arts Center Portfolio Exchange
DESCRIPTION:Rosewood Arts Center announces a call for entries for the 7th Annual Print Portfolio Exchange. Artists are invited to submit an edition of ten original prints in exchange for a random assortment of eight original prints by other participants. Print exchange participants will also receive one commemorative print made by artists at Rosewood Arts Center and a booklet featuring all of the submitted prints. Of the original ten prints\, one will become part of Rosewood’s permanent collection and one will be exhibited in the Rosewood Community Gallery during a Rosewood Holiday Sale\, a fundraising event to benefit Rosewood programs. \nOpen to all artists working in the print medium. The submission deadline is November 8\, 2025. Artists must pay an entry fee of $15 for non-students and $10 for students at the time of submission.

SUMMARY:African American Visual Arts Guild: What’s New? Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The African American Visual Arts Guild’s traveling exhibition\, What’s New?\, will close out its 2025 Dayton-area run with its final showing at Rosewood Arts Center. The AAVAG was born out of the need to express visually the African American experience through a wide range of styles and subject matter using many diverse approaches and materials with a focus on communicating the artist’s own spirituality. Artists in the exhibition include: Nathan Conner\, Andrea Walker Cummings\, Yvette Walker Dalton\, Horace Dozier\, Al Harden\, Morris Howard\, Debora Hurst\, Bennie Kelley\, Cedric McGhee\, Clarice Moore\, David Redmon\, Debra Richardson Wood\, Craig Screven and Beverley Whiteside. The exhibition will be on view in the Kettering Health Art Gallery at Rosewood Arts Center from August 4 to September 13 with a reception to be held on Saturday\, September 6 from 1 to 3 p.m.

SUMMARY:The View Juried Landscape Exhibition Gallery Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the closing Gallery Reception of the 31st Annual “The View” Juried Landscape Exhibition\, showcasing both contemporary and traditional approaches to landscape art. This prestigious annual exhibition is open to Ohio artists working in any medium and explores topics including nature\, environmental themes and world issues. This year\, 107 individual artists submitted a total of 300 pieces. From these the juror\, Liz Maugans\, selected 60 pieces representing 58 artists for the exhibition. Maugans also selected the winners of awards totaling $1\,100. Three $100 People’s Choice Awards will be presented by the Joan W. McCoy Memorial Art Fund at 2:00 p.m. during the closing gallery reception.
