9th annual Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition

Attendees will be able to enjoy a broad array of different foods from up to 35 of the best food trucks in the Midwest.

There will be anything you can imagine including: Greek; gourmet sandwiches; Pierogies; Maine lobster; homemade crab cakes; BBQ; Mexican/TexMex; Italian; homemade gelato, sorbetto and popsicles; French crepes; American; Farm-Raised; Asian; Latin; Mediterranean; South African; Puerto Rican; Creole and more. Come hungry and stay all day!

  • An event map will be posted the week of the competition.
  • A constantly updating “Quicklist” will be posted as trucks are accepted fort this year’s competition.
  • A live entertainment schedule will be posted when confirmed.
  • Please consider bringing lawn chairs and/or blankets to the event as seating is limited.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash, according to National Trail Parks and Recreation rules.

Here’s the entertainment line up that will grace the stage at this year’s competition:

Mike Manley and Katie Harford – 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

Michael Manley and Katie Harford are an acoustic Americana duo from Springfield, Ohio featuring a mix of originals, modern Americana, classic folk and acoustic rock, providing a great blend of songs spanning generations.
Katie is a classically trained violinist who plays with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and other organizations throughout Ohio. Michael has been performing around the state since the 1980s.
The two came together over their love of The Avett Brothers and other modern Americana, and formed their duo to share their love of the genre with their fans. In addition to original material, their set lists include covers of The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, John Prine, The Civil Wars, The Police, CCR, and even George Michael.

Andy Fox – 1-2:45 p.m.

Singer and songwriter Andy Fox is an acoustic fingerstyle guitarist with an eclectic range, who has released multiple albums and toured the country extensively. As a writer, his songs have been featured on shows such as Oprah, One Tree Hill, NCIS, The Today Show and more.

 


The Factory Line – 3-4:45 p.m.

When people as what kind of music they play, The Factory Line answers with, “We play OUR music.” Drawing influences that range from The Rolling Stones and The Beatles to Blackberry Smoke and Billy Strings, The Factory Line blends the guitar, the fiddle, the mandolin, the piano and organ to make music described as “Americana with an edge” that leans toward alt-country, southern rock and bluegrass/jamgrass.

Competition Awards – 4:45-5:15 p.m.

The winners of the competition will be announced on stage in between acts, with $10,000 in prizes to be awarded!

Terrapin Moon – 5:15-7 p.m.

Terrapin Moon originated in Dayton, Ohio in 2007, and grew out of the desire to explore the music of The Grateful Dead. With a vast amount of experience, the five members — Charlie, Bill, Randy, Butch and Connor transcend into a musical conversation that brings the material to life in their own unique style.
Terrapin Moon has been featured as festivals and venues around Ohio and beyond to Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Missouri. The band has had the privilege of sharing the stage with prominent acts including Willie Nelson, The Rhythm Devils with Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, Melvin Seals and JGB, Dark Star Orchestra, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Jesse McReynolds, Kris Kristofferson, moe., George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Reel Big Fish, Rusted Root, David Gans and many more.
Terrapin Moon’s repertoire is sprinkled with classic and traditional covers, and the band srives to be unpredictable so that every show is unique.
