|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 3:00 am, repeating until September 24, 2023

A Dayton tradition established in 1971, DAI’s Oktoberfest is southwest Ohio’s longest-running Oktoberfest celebration, and the museum’s largest annual fundraiser. Money raised by Oktoberfest helps support everything we do at the Dayton Art Institute.

The celebration begins on Friday, September 22, as we kick off Oktoberfest weekend with the annual Lederhosen Lunch from 11 am – 1:30 pm.
Admission to the Lederhosen Lunch is FREE. Drinks and a variety of foods are available for purchase, including brats, metts, schnitzel sandwiches, German salads and homemade noodles. The main beer truck will be tapped for the Lederhosen Lunch, offering the first Oktoberfest beer of the weekend! Lederhosen Lunch also features live music by The Bergstrasse Boys.
The annual Oktoberfest Preview Party, presented by PNC, takes place on Friday, September 22 from 7-11 pm. All tickets purchased at the gate are $95.
Saturday, September 23: Noon – 11:00 pm.
Sunday, September 24: Noon – 7:00 pm.
