PROTECT THE AUTUMN WOODS! — an art show of 32 watercolor paintings and story chapters, featuring D&D-inspired forest animals by Dayton artist Jerome Stueart.
“Protect the Autumn Woods!” by Dayton artist, Jerome Stueart, is a series of 32 watercolor, pen and ink paintings that tell a story of forest creatures trying to save their beloved home after being invaded by a troop of orcs on a secret mission. These forest animals are all older, retired magic users looking to spend their autumn years in peace. But now—the fight has come to them! The orcs are huge and powerful. The animals are small, but mighty. Why are the orcs invading these woods? Can the animals work together to save their homes?
These magical creatures of the Autumn Woods are D&D-inspired wizards, rangers, barbarians, and fighters. If you like Brian Jacques’ Redwall novels, you might enjoy this show and this story. Each portrait connects to another short chapter of the story. Follow the story through the woods using QR codes and read about these clever heroes try to protect themselves and their homes.
