“Vietnam: Forever Honor” Veterans Day Exhibit and Events

The public is invited to visit the Centerville Library (111 W. Spring Valley Road) November 9 through 12 for the Annual Veterans Exhibit and Open House, honoring our military veterans. Uniforms, artifacts, and historical items will be on display.
• Thursday, November 9, 10 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Friday, November 10, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Saturday, November 11, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Sunday, November 12, 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The “Vietnam: Forever Honor” exhibit pays tribute to the Vietnam War experience including reflections on the summer’s The Wall That Heals exhibit.
Following the City of Centerville’s Veterans Day Ceremony held at Stubb’s Park (255 W. Spring Valley Pike) on Saturday, November 11, at 11 AM, a reception with light refreshments will be held at the Centerville Library. The public is invited to attend.
At 1 p.m., Dr. David Meyer, a member of the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame, will speak about his experiences during the Vietnam War. Dr. Meyer was raised in a large family on a farm in Northern Ohio. A Vietnam War-Era Air Force veteran, he is an accomplished public servant who has greatly impacted the Dayton area as a Professional Engineer. He has taught at The Ohio State University, The University of Dayton, and is a Professor Emeritus of Sinclair Community College.
