2024 Packard Spring Fling

Please join us at America’s Packard Museum for the 2024 Packard Spring Fling. This year’s event is shaping up to be the best ever! This year’s theme is Packard Powers America, with an exhibit featuring new Packard automobiles and artifacts on display for the first time. Our star-studded lineup includes John Davis of PBS’s MotorWeek, and Brian Baker, noted automotive designer and historian, as well as a trip to the Champaign Aviation Museum and a tour of a B-17 Flying Fortress in restoration. Other key activities include an automotive book signing, silent auctions, and our outstanding annual banquet.

Our very special guest speaker is John Davis, the Emmy® Award-winning producer, host, and creator of MotorWeek, television’s original and longest running automotive series. John can be seen and heard throughout the U.S. on PBS and the Velocity cable network. Through media appearances, John’s automotive industry expertise is tapped by commercial radio and television programs nationwide.

As host for MotorWeek, now celebrating its 40th season, John Davis puts all the new car models through extensive road tests and judges their practicality for buyers. He also acts as final editor on all the new car road test segments and writes many of the test opinions as well as other portions of the program. MotorWeek offers John that rare chance to bring the enjoyment of a hobby to his professional life, and to use his broadcasting, engineering, and analytical expertise to bring information and insight to those who enjoy cars. He is also one of the organizers and an original member of the Washington Automotive Press Association, the oldest and most prestigious organization of automotive journalists in North America. John has owned a variety of high-performance cars, including several vintage Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Corvettes and a deTomaso Pantera.
