Join Fran and Tom Davidson for an engaging 7-hour beekeeping course that delves into the fascinating world of honeybees through multimedia presentations. This course covers honeybee biology, the unique challenges faced by modern beekeepers, and practical tips on starting and managing a successful beehive, from installation to thriving colonies. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your knowledge, Fran and Tom, Certified Master Gardeners and UFIFAS Certified Master Beekeepers with over 14 years of experience running their local business, Golden Queen Honey, are eager to share their expertise. They currently manage 35 bee colonies in Clark County and are passionate about beekeeping.
The course will be held on January 10, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and January 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a one-hour break for lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (bring or locally purchase your own lunch on Saturday).

The course is $40 per person with the textbook “Bee-Sentials” by Connor & Muir, or $25 without the textbook (which includes a comprehensive notebook).
MGVs will receive 7 continuing education hours.
