Big Ideas for Defending Democracy

December 12 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

DML joins forces with PREVENTS-OH in this book club aimed at enhancing civic engagement and building trust between community members of all backgrounds. Join us in reading and talking about the threats currently posed to our democracy, and how community collaborations can counter domestic extremism and revitalize human rights.

December’s book is Wake up America edited by Keisha N. Blain, featuring essays by 22 trailblazing Black women on the future of democracy.

You are encouraged to attend even if you have not had a chance to read the book.

Adults and teens are welcome.
