Brown Hands, Black Schools: HBCUs is an engaging, educational and fun animated short film with live-action scenes highlighting the rich history of Historically Black Colleges and Universities and the importance of literacy. The film takes us on an adventure with Aria and Walter as they visit their cousin’s HBCU for homecoming. We get to see them walk the yard, watch the football game, and enjoy the band. We learn that HBCUs produce 80 percent of the nation’s Black judges, as well as half of the country’s Black doctors and lawyers!
