Candlelight Reading Night
May 9 @ 7:00 pm

Candlelight Reading Nights is a cozy, intentional space for BIPOC & Queer community to gather and read together. Bring your own book!
Candlelight Reading Night runs from 7–9 PM, and you’re welcome to drop in anytime during the session. This is a donation based event so pay what you can! It supports our group events. We’ll be creating a soft, calming environment with candlelight gently distributed around the space. Feel free to bring a blanket, cushion, or your favorite comfy folding chair to get extra cozy.
There will be pastries from a local BIPOC baker and tea available for refreshments—nourishment for both body and spirit. I’ll also be bringing my record player to fill the room with light music, setting a mellow vibe as we read and rest in community.
Before Candlelight Reading Night, we’ll be holding our BIPOC Queer Book Club from 6–7 PM. If you’d like to join the discussion, just search BIPOC Queer Book Club under Black In Blooming.
Come as you are. We can’t wait to see you.
