The highly anticipated Catalano Film Festival returns for its third year on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at the Historic Plaza Theatre.

We are delighted to announce the Official Selections for the 3rd Annual #CatalanoFilmFestival2025. From riveting midwestern crime tales to thought-provoking existential sci-fi, from body horror that chills to psychological thrillers, laugh-out-loud comedies, and heartfelt odes to family—this year’s festival promises something for every cinema lover. We are beyond proud to present these exceptional films and celebrate the talented filmmakers behind them.
The Official Selections for CFF 2025 are:
LOOKER – Max Kaplan’s daring exploration of the body horror genre, dripping in Cronenbergian dread.
STONED – J.W. Cox returns with his Coen Brothers-inspired dark comedy, a twisted crime caper full of sharp wit and unexpected turns.
LEGENDS OF GOLF – Award-winning filmmaker Evan Maines returns with this darkly comedic sports satire, offering a sharp, absurd look at the quirky, timeless game of golf.
MURDRUM – A chilling psychological thriller from director Job Gailey and producer Benjamin McClain that will leave you on the edge of your seat.
SUNDAYS WITH DAD – A heartwarming comedy by Thomas Angeletti, starring Timothy J. Cox, about the deep, complex bond between father and son.
CREATURES OF HABIT – Bryon Jones crafts a gripping homage to the psychological thrillers of David Fincher, exploring the complexity of human nature.
THE UNIVERSE – A breathtaking science fiction short by Adam S. Depew, a visually striking epic that bends the very limits of cinema.
We are thrilled to showcase these seven exceptional short films, and we know you’ll be captivated by each one. Nominations for the Catalano Film Festival 2025 Awards will be announced on Friday, February 21st.
