Sarah Maxwell is October’s Artist of the Month. When you visit Sarah’s space, you’ll see she features animals in many of her artworks to draw attention to our responsibility to protect their survival. Sarah is exploring new techniques including the use of pumice gel with acrylic paint and charcoal over paint. At Art Encounters, she also sells clothing and other small art-related items.
Former gallery member Katherine Cruse is this month’s Visiting Artist. She has lived in various parts of the U.S. and has had a varied professional life, including work as a researcher and educator in historic preservation. Katherine is passionate about the outdoors and her newer watercolors feature natural scenery in all its beauty.
