Huber Heights MLK Unity Program

The City of Huber Heights Culture and Diversity Citizen Action Commission (CDCAC) will hold its Sixth Annual MLK Unity Program on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Wayne High School. Huber Heights community members and those in surrounding areas are invited to attend this free event.
This year’s program theme is “Huber 365: Protecting Our Freedom, Justice, and Democracy,” and community members will partake in an engaging and educational program surround Dr. King’s work and mission and key events of the Civil Rights Movement.
A “Meet A Neighbor” interactive event with a complimentary breakfast (coffee and continental goods, first come, first serve) will take place in the Wayne High School cafeteria, 5400 Chambersburg Road, Huber Heights, 45424, at 9:30 am.
Following, at approximately 10:45 am, a special program will take place in the high school’s Performing Arts Center.
This special program will include welcome remarks, the welcome prayer, and the city proclamation, followed by an interactive event featuring Huber Heights school students taking to the stage. Community members can also expect a media presentation, the Monticello Elementary School Choir led by Mr. Mills, poetry readings, and a special keynote. Artwork reflecting Dr. King’s mission and work from area students will also be on display.
The CDCAC will also be collecting hats, gloves, scarves, and socks for donations to a local charity. Community members are invited to bring brand-new items to contribute
