Introduction to Finding Funders for Nonprofits

September 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Nonprofit organizations often rely on grants from foundations to fund new projects or expand their reach to obtain funding. In this workshop presented by Dayton Metro Library Nonprofit Services’ Specialist, Jessica Hunter, you will use the Foundation Directory Online research tool to find potential funders to support your project; we will show you tips on how to build relationships with funders; how to determine if a particular funder is a good match for your organization; and, provide hands-on practice with the database. If you usually work on a laptop and have one available, please bring it. A limited number of library laptops will available for use during the workshop. Advanced registration is required.
