Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit
September 7 @ 7:30 pm
$49.50 – $129.50Six-time GRAMMY winning artist Jason Isbell and his band The 400 Unit announced today additional dates for their 2024 tour, including their long-awaited return to Huber Heights, OH. Joined by special guest Alejandro Escovedo, the band will take the Rose Music Center stage on Saturday, September 7.
In June of 2023 the band released their critically-acclaimed album, Weathervanes, which took home the GRAMMY win for Best American Roots Song and Best Americana Album at the 66th GRAMMY Awards last month. Paste Magazine’s Ellen Johnson wrote that “every song [Isbell] releases into the world is worth listening to, a reminder that he, too, is working at the highest standard of excellence. No matter what is happening in his life—addiction, loss, romance, marriage, family—not to mention what’s happening in humanity on a wider scale, Isbell finds a way to distill it all into melodies worthy of a national title.”
A Jason Isbell record always lands like a decoder ring in the ears and hearts of his audience, a soundtrack to his world and magically to theirs, too. Weathervanes carries the same revelatory power. This is a storyteller at the peak of his craft, observing his fellow wanderers, looking inside and trying to understand, reducing a universe to four minutes. He shrinks life small enough to name the fear and then strip it away, helping his listeners make sense of how two plus two stops equaling four once you reach a certain age — and carry a certain amount of scars.
