Intro to Sewing
This class teaches younger students the basics of sewing to succeed in the summer camps and classes offered.
This class is a required to attend any group class; this enables all students to get the best experience in class.
Ages: 9 – 16 (has to be able to work independently)
Max Students: 6
Intro to Sewing
This class will focus on the basic techniques needed to use the sewing machine.
Focused on younger students, we will practice filling a bobbin, threading the machine, putting the bobbin in, changing a needle, backstitching, and basic stitches.
The students will sew on provided scraps during class.
Materials to bring:
Bring one spool of all-purpose polyester thread (preferably Gutermann) – any color (I do carry this at the studio for $2 a spool)
If you are using my sewing machine – Class 15 size 10 bobbin (I do have these for sale at the studio for 25 cents each)
