Library Card Day at the Dayton Art Institute

Help kick off Dayton Metro Library’s Summer Reading Challenge at the Dayton Art Institute! Come “Color Our World” at the DAI with scavenger hunts, Draw Alive in the Lange Family Experiencenter, and storytime on the Bookmobile, or simply enjoy the museum at your own pace. Show your DML Library Card and admission to the museum will be free.
This event is open to all ages, including families. Free Library Card and Summer Reading Challenge signups will be available onsite.
Storytimes will take place on the Bookmobile starting at 11:30, and in the Rose Auditorium beginning at noon.
Matt Dierking from the Dayton Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will be providing family-friendly, drop-in pipe organ concerts in the Rose Auditorium at 12:30 and 2:30.

MUSEUM MANNERS & ETIQUETTE
We want you to have an amazing art adventure at your Dayton Art Institute, but we do ask you to observe some general rules. First and foremost, please do not touch the art. Even the slightest touch can cause damage to irreplaceable works of art. We ask that you maintain a distance of at least 18 inches from all works of art in the museum. Please do not run in the museum or climb on anything. Silence your phones, and be respectful of other museum guests. Food and drink are not permitted in the museum. Children and youth ages 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult while in the museum. Have fun and enjoy your visit!
