“Radiate Night” Forum Answers Teen Questions

April 11 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Wright Library is hosting an enlightening panel discussion for teens grades 7-12 to learn about positive mental and physical well-being. Radiate Night takes place on Friday, April 11 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and will feature nine expert panelists from local organizations such as Artemis Center, Goodwill Easter Seals, NAMI Montgomery County Ohio, Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County, and Q+ Youth Center. Teens will have the opportunity to ask questions anonymously as the panelists share guidance surrounding tough situations such as mental health crises, abusive relationships, addiction, and bullying.

The goal of Radiate Night is to help teens understand the struggles they or their peers may be experiencing so they can better their own well-being, provide support, and know how to access the resources available to them.

This is the first Radiate Night hosted at Wright Memorial Public Library. Refreshments will be available as well as viewing some of the artwork from the Dayton GEM Project, which encourages young artists to spread awareness about suicide prevention and to encourage those who struggle with mental health to seek help.
