The 12 Sour Beers of Christmas
December 6 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This Saturday when we open at Noon we are having our annual celebration of sour beer! This one is particularly special as we will also be releasing bottles (and draft) of one of our most favorite mixed-fermentation beers, Black Razzath.
Black Razzath is a foeder-aged mixed-fermentation farmhouse ale that is then refermented with copious amounts of whole black raspberries. The result is a beer bursting with jammy berry fruit and tannins overlayed on a funky, acidic complexity from the base beer. Black Razzath is then bottle and keg conditioned to produce a natural carbonation.
Mixed-fermentation beer featuring wild yeast and bacteria is a labor of love at Branch & Bone. What was a pillar of our genesis has fallen out of favor some resulting in quite the gap for us betwen releases. Our large foeders have been rocking the entire time, however, and a renewed committment from us to the program will see much more frequent releases to come. This is something we are very excited about and hope you are as well.
Look for more info the rest of the week about the insane sour list for Saturday and see you all for The 12 Sour Beers of Christmas!
