The Ohio Underground Film Fest!

The Ohio Underground Film Festival is having it’s inaugural year, right here in the heart of  Yellow Springs, Ohio.  A one day film festival showcasing the local and lower budget, horror and experimental filmmakers of the region.    Featuring a 2 hour shorts block that is mostly made of films and filmmaker from Yellow Springs and Dayton, including 4 former Antioch Film Graduates and two from Wright State.  Also featuring a tribute to local Dayton filmmakers the late Andy Copp, Matt Brassfield and Henrique Couto, with a screening of their respective shorts.

Followed by a screening of 3 feature films with one being a rare screening of the documentary “Boiled Angels: The Story of Mike Diana” with the other 2 features having their Ohio Premiere.

Video Vixen, the closing film was shot entirely in Yellow Springs in 2024/2025.

The charge for the event is $5 and tickets will be available the day of the event, cash, Venmo, cash-app, quarters, nickels and dimes will be accepted.  The event will be 18 plus due to some of the nature of the films.   A celebration of legendary Dayton area filmmakers and new heroes of underground cinema.  Weird, shot on camcorders and lots of fake blood.
