Non-Profit Night at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery

September 1 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Non-Profit Night at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery

A special evening to view the artwork included in the We’re Doing It ALL Wrong® – 3rd Annual Art Exhibition will also serve as an evening to learn about some of the area’s local non-profits with goals of making safer, more sustainable and equitable communities. Waste-Free Dayton, Oasis House and The Castle are three of the highlighted organizations.

Each of the non-profit have missions that align with artworks in this national, juried exhibition.

Some of the topics addressed by the artists in the exhibition include the skyrocketing diabetes/medicine drug cost, human trafficking, housing shortages in Puerto Rico, Asian hate crimes, gun violence and homelessness.  Artwork in the exhibition include artist statements, artwork descriptions, as well as, the city and state of the artists that range from Florida to Washington state.

“While attending the Non-Profit Night, you can learn new information on topics you may or may not hear about often, discover ways to take action and help the organizations by making an art purchase or a direct donation” according to gallery owner, Ed Dixon.  20% of sales anytime on September 1st from this exhibition or the gallery’s other collections will be divided between the participating non-profits.  Purchases can be made in-person or online at shop.eadgallery.com.

Speaking on the goal for the evening, gallery owner, Ed Dixon, stated “Most of us want to help make our communities better, but we don’t always know how or where to start.  Each of these non-profit organizations can give attendees information they can use to get started.”

Refreshments served.  Free on-street parking available.
