Nonprofit Night at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery

You are invited to the Nonprofit Night at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery featuring local organizations defining their work and providing information on how to get involved in supporting their efforts. Donations directly to the organizations during the event are welcomed. Miami Valley Meals (MVM), the Ohio CDC Association (OCDCA) and the Dayton Metro Library are three of the confirmed groups that will be presenting at the event.
The event is also a chance to view the new We’re Doing It ALL Wrong® – 4th Annual Art Exhibition.
Friday, September 6th – 6pm-8pm

Tiny Thursday: Story time and Art Project

Are you a toddler with an awesome parent/grandparent/caregiver who likes to take you to fun, creative weekday programs? Join us on Thursdays for our popular child and caregiver preschool program, Tiny Thursdays. Ages 2-5 and a caregiver (baby siblings welcome) are invited for story time, a gallery visit and artmaking project. 1st and 3rd Thursdays; dates vary by month
With monthly themes, each session investigates new stories and DAI collection artworks.
Cost: $6/child with member caregiver;$8/child with non-member caregiver

ARTery Gallery Third Sunday

Members of The ARTery at Front Street are presenting new and exciting artists and art mediums in 2024! The gallery currently has one of the most diverse groups of artists and artisans it’s ever showcased. From fiber arts, alcohol ink works, and custom wood creations, to traditional paintings, local photography, rare gem jewelry, and abstract pieces.

Maggie Reckers is our Visiting Artist of the Month. If you bump into her hiking or biking, you’ll find her with a sketchpad in toe as the outdoors serves as her greatest inspiration. A Fine Art graduate from Sinclair Community College, she launched her art career in 2011 by painting live across the US. Lately she’s transitioned to studio work and en plein air painting. When you visit, you’ll notice her bold brushstrokes are reminiscent of post-impressionism.

Our Artist of the Month, Bob Pricer creates some of the most unique wood pieces we’ve ever seen. He has no particular way to find inspiration other than just heading to his wood shop. “While I’m there, ideas just pop into my head,” Bob says. He’s been in love with woodwork since his mid-twenties when his wife asked him to refinish a family heirloom mahogany wardrobe. From the first coat of linseed oil, he

New Dayton Art Gallery Opens April 1st

Dutoit Gallery is a cooperative gallery made up of 28 member artists representing the diversity and talents within the Dayton, OH region. Member Artists will be exhibiting in monthly programs with art exhibitions opening every First Friday of each month. Artworks range in media from painting, photography, installation, and performance. The Cooperative gallery’s mission is to support local artists through the development of engaging relevant exhibitions.
