In the first major redesign since 1980, routes have been changed to reflect where people now live and work. The system’s almost complete dependence on a downtown central hub will end, although downtown will remain RTA’s most popular destination, with 20 percent of 40,000 daily riders relying on RTA buses to get them there…
Interestingly, Pittsburgh is going through its own transit changes, but things are much worse there – they are eliminating 124 out of 213 bus routes in order to address an $80 million budget deficit. Click Here for the story.
