WOXY Suspends Live Broadcasts

…although they left our region last year for Austin, we were still saddened to hear that the iconic WOXY has suspended its broadcast today due to “current economic realities and the lack of ongoing funding”. The station’s website offers the glimmer of hope that they are exploring their options for funding to keep the station alive, so it may be too early to tell whether this is curtains or not.
