Ohio Whiskey Society

Ohio Whiskey Society Meets

November 18, 2015 By Lisa Grigsby

logo-1The very first meeting on the Dayton chapter of the Ohio Whiskey Society will meet this Thursday night from 6:30-8:30pm in Oakwood overlooking Main St. (2310 Far Hills Ave in the office above the UPS store).  With a line up of 5 Whiskeys & Bourbons on the docket including Maker’s Mark, Monkey Shoulder & Chivas Regal, The tasting is being coordinated by Mike Smith.  Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online.

We asked Mike about this group:
Where did the idea for the Ohio Whiskey Society come from?
The idea came from a desire to enjoy great whiskey and great company.  I really like to try a variety of whiskeys so I thought why not start a club where whiskey enthusiest, like myself, can get together and try new stuff on a regular basis.

Will this be a membership group?
If so, what does it take to join and what are the benefits?
I think it will become a membership group down the road. More details to come..

How often do you envision meeting?
I would like to see us get together on a monthly basis with a new flight of whiskeys & an expanding community to drink it.

If folks can’t make this Thursday’s event when will the next one be?
We will try to get together again before the New Year.  Like us on Facebook for updates.
