Bessies Homemade Noodles have been a staple at area festivals for years. Do you recognize this booth set up from OktoberFest, Celtic Fest, or the Beavercreek Popcorn Festival?

Or maybe you’ve picked them up in the frozen cases at Kroger or Dorothy Lane Market or your local grocery store. Bessie was owner Monica Easterling’s great-grandmother. She passed away more than a 35 years ago, but she remembers learning to make the egg noodles by her side using the simple recipe of flour, water, eggs and “foo-foo dust,” as Monica calls the secret seasoning that makes Bessie’s so popular.

But now they are launching something completely new- a deli! Now in the soft opening stage, you can pop into their store on Broad Street in Fairborn from 9am – 3pm this week. Then they will evaluate their process and set up, tweak anything that needs improving and announce their grand opening. Owner Monica Easterling and her husband bought the building two years ago to use for manufacturing, but the front had previously been set up as a butcher shop and kept thinking about opening the shop, but Covid slowed the process.

The deli will feature Amish Farms Chicken, Walnut Creek Amish meats like pork chops strip steaks and crab cakes. Bowman and Landes turkey products, Bake House breads, and house made dips, and salads and Boston Stoker Coffee beans.
For those with a sweet tooth, you’ll be able to get Killer Brownies and Hershey’s hand dipped ice cream. Fresh local honey, Mrs. Miller’s Homemade Jams and so many other goodies.
This truly is a family business with owners Matt and Monica are hands on and their daughter actually work in the business with Monica’s mom handles much of the labeling.
