Major League Sports Bar on North Main Street recently celebrated their first anniversary, having opened in the middle of the pandemic. They plan to celebrate with some special promotions coming soon, watch their facebook page for info. When I spoke with Jonathan, the manager, he said it’s been a great first year.  They also own Sporty’s Taphouse & Grill, just up the road at 5202 N. Main Street and were able to bring over some of the best  selling menu items from there. Since the minute they opened the doors their biggest sellers have been:

GATOR BITES   (1/2) pound fresh alligator tail meat, hand breaded, fried, & served with Carolina Parm sauce on the side. $12.99

COLLARD GREEN EGG ROLLS – Fresh, seasoned collard greens simmered in a turkey broth then fried in a crisp spring roll. Served with sweet hot chili sauce. $9.99

SALMON PIZZA : An in-house made basil, pesto, alfredo  sauce, topped by grilled salmon, fresh spinach, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and REAL pizza cheese. 10″ $18 14″ $23

Since the location was formerly a Rooster’s, Jonathan admitted they inherited a crowd that also enjoys their chicken wings and they have plenty of options for you to choose from.

JUMBO CHICKEN WINGS sold in quantities of 5 pieces. Hand breaded, or naked, seasoned and fried to perfection! You can have them tossed in your favorite wing sauce;  Hot, Spicy Garlic, Medium, Sweet Hot Chili, Garlic Parmesan, BBQ, Lemon Pepper, Carolina Gold  or just plain. (5) $7.99 (10) 14.99

Every Thursday is Bike Night! Bikers from all over the State come to Major League Sports Bar to represent their club and riders wearing their club logos, get discounts!

But far and away the biggest draw at Major League is their happy hour, which runs from noon – 6pm and offers 25% off all drinks.  Day drinking anyone?  Tell them DaytonDining sent you!

About Lisa Grigsby

Lisa Grigsby is a Special Events Director with over thirty years experience in promotions, event coordination and public relations.

Owning Jokers Comedy Cafe for 20 years taught Lisa to maintain a sense of humor under pressure. She credits Leadership Dayton for exposing her to the amazing assets of the region and Clothes That Work for being her reason she stayed in Dayton. Her proudest accomplishment as a past president of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association was creating Restaurant Week, a twice a year tradition that continues to grow and benefit local charities as well. As a foodie, it's only natural that she continues to promote local restaurateurs with DaytonDining.

As a Dayton Catalyst, her desire to have ONE community calendar and advocate for the amazing assets of the region helped create the vision for the relaunch of DaytonMostMetro, now Dayton 937.com
