The Group that has brought the Oregon district eight “Santa Pub Crawls” in the early weeks of December has now expanded the charity to supplying school supplies for children with their “Christmas in July Santa Pub Crawl”.
The July 12th Christmas in July crawl will feature the same bars as the December pub crawl in the Oregon District, but will benefit children going back to school this fall instead of toys for Christmas (The Dec crawl will still be a “toys” drive)
“The group felt we needed to support education along with toys so we all decided to have a summer pub crawl with the feel of Christmas”, states Brian Young, the group’s chairperson. “We have all heard of Christmas in July parties and now we have our first Christmas in July Charity Pub Crawl.”
Pub crawlers are asked to bring a donation of $10.00 cash or $10.00 in school supplies that will all benefit Dayton area children as they return back to school.
“The crawl starts at 4:00 at Dublin Pub and costumes are mandatory! (at least a santa hat!) “Just dress up in anything
funny and resembling Christmas holidays (like Santa pub crawl) but you may want to dress for the heat,” adds Young. “ We will have costume contests for the most creative crawlers!”
The bars will be offering free admission that night when in costume and special beer/drink prices to the pub crawlers.
