The rumors are true. Tomorrow is the last day for Basil’s on Market‘s downtown location on Patterson. Management sited staffing issues and lack of consistent business for the closing. Opened about six years ago, the patio had an awesome view of the river, but that just wasn’t enough to keep the doors open.
This closing will not effect the Troy or Beavercreek locations. The ownership team is currently under construction for a new sports bar that will be opening this fall in the former Bar 145 space at Austin Landing.
After 12 years of serving the community, the Heights Cafe located at 6178 Chambersburg Road will be officially closed after Saturday August 20th. There are a few things that went into the closing, trouble finding staff was just 1 of those factors. Opened just 4 days a week from 7:30- noon, the owners just felt like they’d had a good run. They also teased on their facebook page “Stay tuned for another locally owned coffee shop coming to you in the near future.”
