Many of our local eateries were affected by last nights tornado’s. Here’s  what we’ve heard so far:

Primanti Bros at 2430 North Fairfield Road is currently closed.  With some roof damage and blown out windows, management will have to asses the damage before they can decide when to reopen.

Amber Rose on Valley Street in Old North Dayton has a hole in their roof, gutter damage and the roof was ripped off their walk-in cooler.  Closed until further notice.

El Toro, which has been remodeling the former Abuelo’s on North Fairfield says that the site looks like a war zone.

Scene 75 says there was major damage and flooding inside.

Wings Sports Bar & Grille on Dixie looks pretty bad from this picture and we haven’t been able to reach anyone there.

Many other local eateries are closed today due to loss of power or the boil advisory including Tanks, Corner Kitchen, Roost, Mudlick Tap House, Toxic Brew Pub, Salar, Trolley Stop, Crafted & Cured and The Rootbeer Stande downtown,  Chik Fil A on Fairfield, CBCB, Kings Table, Fox & Hound and Cake, Hope & Love Bakery  in Beavercreek, Carmel’s on Shroyer and Sea Jax Tavern in Kettering. Shen’s Szechuan & Sushi is also closed today. The Dayton club in the Kettering Tower has announced it will be closed today and tomorrow.

Other restaurants that avoided damages have quickly posted how they will be helping those that need help.

The Bison and The Boar in West Alexandria invite folks to join them tonight as we open for dinner with 10% of sales going back to our region’s The Foodbank, Inc.

El Meson is open for lunch and dinner today and will be donating back 10% of sales to Dayton’s The Foodbank, Inc.

Mamma DiSalvo’s will donate $1/meal to the American Red Cross all week

If you know of other restaurants we should add to these lists, please leave a comment below.

Owning Jokers Comedy Cafe for 20 years taught Lisa to maintain a sense of humor under pressure. She credits Leadership Dayton for exposing her to the amazing assets of the region and Clothes That Work for being her reason she stayed in Dayton. Her proudest accomplishment as a past president of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association was creating Restaurant Week, a twice a year tradition that continues to grow and benefit local charities as well. As a foodie, it's only natural that she continues to promote local restaurateurs with DaytonDining.

As a Dayton Catalyst, her desire to have ONE community calendar and advocate for the amazing assets of the region helped create the vision for the relaunch of DaytonMostMetro, now Dayton 937.com
