The Big Ragu has always had a love for a crisp wedge salad. The snap of that iceberg lettuce and the toppings that sing to the soul.
Let start with a recipe for a homemade Bleu Cheese dressing that will knock your Aunt Connie’s socks off…
HOMEMADE BLEU CHEESE DRESSING
7.5 oz bleu cheese
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup sour cream
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup white wine vinegar
3/4 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ tsp Salt
¼ tsp ground pepper
1 tsp worchestire
1/4 tsp wasabi
1 tsp honey mustard
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients into a bowl and mix thoroughly until smooth
WEDGE SALAD with HOMEMADE BLEU CHEESE DRESSING AND BACON CRUMBLES (serves 6)
Ingredients:
Head of lettuce
6 strips of bacon, cooked crispy
Bleu Cheese Crumbles
Directions:
Peel one outer layer of the Lettuce Head, then cut in half
Cut each half into 3 equal size wedges
Crumble bacon into pieces
Drizzle with homemade bleu cheese dressing, bleu cheese crumbles, and top with bacon pieces.
