Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck announced that his ArriveSafe Program will be active for this year’s St. Patrick;s Day holiday. With continued support from Heidelberg Distributing Company/Budweiser and Key-Ads of Dayton, program offers free Uber rides home for Montgomery County residents over the holiday.

Operating since 2007, Heck’s ArriveSafe Program has provided nearly 30,000 safe and sober rides home.
Prosecutor Heck noted that between 2019 and 2023, nearly 38% of all fatal traffic crashes over St. Patrick’s Day involved a drunk driver, and 70% of those fatalities involved a driver with a BAC double the legal limit.
ArriveSafe is offering a voucher for up to $20 off the cost of an Uber ride home from 6:00 am on Tuesday, March 17th, through 6 am on Wednesday, March 18th.
Prosecutor Heck said, “Our law enforcement partners will be out in full force on St. Patrick’s Day. They aren’t looking to ruin your fun – they’re looking to save your life and the lives of others sharing the road with you. This St. Patrick’s Day, use ArriveSafe. It’s free, it’s easy, and it’s the only responsible choice.”
