Dayton based electronic music concert outfit 3DMentional entertainment is excited to announce that Dayton will be a stop for the internationally recognized Stanton Warriors. The concert is a part of their “One and One” tour, and will also feature California based DJ Worthy as well as local and regional talent.
Since bursting onto the scene with their multi award-winning compilation “The Stanton Sessions” back in 2001, the England based Stanton Warriors’ irresistible and inimitable sound has consistently remained the soundtrack to some of the world’s biggest and best parties over the past thirteen years; from East London warehouses, Miami boat parties and illegal Detroit raves, to the stages of Coachella, Glastonbury, Burning Man and Ultra Music Festival, selling out global tours and topping DJ lists along the way.
In the studio, Bristol’s Mark Yardley and Dominic Butler have honed a trademark, uncategorisable sound that is at once all their own, but also utterly indefinable, leading to high-profile releases on XL Records, Fabric, Cheap Thrills, Central Station and Universal, alongside official remixes for everyone from Daft Punk and Fatboy Slim, to MIA and Gorillaz. This phenomenal output and remarkable longevity has ensured the Stanton Warriors legendary status amongst not only their fans, but also their peers, as they remain fresh, original and relevant; obstinately dancing to beat of their own drum and helping to pave the way for new talent.
When it comes down to all the hype, his name says it all. He is Worthy. With an in-depth knowledge of production, mixing, and performance, Worthy has the insight to play for his audience, cultivating intense positive energy on the dance floor. From salty aired islands to dark club basements, over the past 10 years, Worthy has paid reverence to the traditional form of classic house while tripping off the mark and sinking into the euphoric less-charted territories of booty-clapping bass. As the legendary Carl Cox said, “The Worthy sound has always been powerful, rocking, funky, bass-driven music at its best, and for me this is the new wave in house music.” He establishes an energetic dance floor camaraderie that makes even the most skeptic hater’s booty shake.
Joining these two phenomenal acts is an amazing group of regional talent that have been shaking Ohio Valley dance floors for many years. This group includes the Give Us A Break crew, Infected Angel and John Chapel.
Based out of both Dayton and Cincinnati, the Give Us A Break crew is a rotating group of DJs that has been working together to build up the Southwest Ohio scene for many years. Members have performed all across the country and have shared the stage with many major electronic acts. Featuring Tony DeSaro, Trip Turlington, Firecat 451, and many more, you never know who you will see on the stage. Expect anything from house, techno, trance, bass music, and may even a little hip hop.
Louisville, KY DJ Infected Mushroom brings a strong aura of creativity to every single one of his DJ sets. His mixture of gorgeous vocal trance and emotional bass music has gained him strong credibility throughout Kentucky and southern Ohio. He has had the opportunity to perform with the likes of humungous acts like Zeds Dead, Manic Focus, DJ ICEY, and Steve Aoki.
Rounding out the lineup is a DJ and promoter that has been extremely influential to the Dayton electronic scene for the last seven years. John Chapel’s weekly “EDM Tuesday” is one of Ohio’s longest running electronic nights. The weekly has also been the launch pad for many area DJ’s. His eclectic and exciting breaks sound keeps dancers moving from early in the evening to late at night.
