Met a new artist recently at Front Street. He’s Ahmad Kane, better known as Cayman K. He refers to himself as an outsider folk artist.
I understand that he used to paint on canvas, but now does most of his work on scrap wood and other found objects. Since making that switch his work has become more popular and he is now widely collected. Most of his selling is done online, but you can see his work tonight during First Friday. He’s in the Annex Building on the 2nd floor
