The Greater Dayton Turkish-American Society of Ohio is hosting an Anatolian food festival. As organizer Arif explained, traditionally they’ve called it Turkish, but the term Anatolian actually encompasses a greater variety of their members, who may be Turks, Kurds, Armenians, Arabs and Greeks. The Festival will be held this Sunday, August 29th from 11am to 4pm at their community center, located at 2601 E 4th St, Dayton, OH 45403-2111.
The Fest includes great Mediterranean and Central Asian Cuisines made and served by their members. Some of the dishes you’ll be able to purchase are Kebabs, Gyros, Lahmajoon, Kofta, Salads and Olive Oil Dishes, as well as a rich variety of desserts and pastries, Turkish coffee and tea.
Upon arrival stop at the ticket table and purchase tickets, that can be exchanged at each table for some amazing goodies. Food tables will line the walls and each item will be labeled with name and number of tickets it costs.. Tables are set up in the center of the room so you can sit and enjoy your meal or if you prefer you can get it packaged to go. Depending on the weather, their may even be tables set up for outside dining.
