While the Ohio Renaissance Festival has been cancelled for 2020, they folks behind the festival have created 3 one-day festivals they are calling Magical Days, Madrigal Knights! A limited area on the grounds will open from 2pm to 10pm. The Festival days will be September 12, September 26 and October 10. Admission tickets are $10.
The renaissance village will be opened on a limited basis with shopping, food and drinks, entertainment, and the highlight of the event, a MADRIGAL FEAST hosted by your favorite village characters. There will be shows and live entertainment happening throughout the festival day at the Pirate Shipwreck stage, 3 Fools stage, and Aleing Knight stage. You can expect to see: performances by Ramblin Rhythms Belly Dance, Wenches a’Wailing, Father Son and Friends, Lads on the Lash, Pirate’s Creed, Rogues of Rafferty, The Sirens, Irate Pyrate, PB& J Circus, Cirque Lapin, The Queen’s Choice Musicians, Made Up Mayhem, Witches of Willy Nilly and other village characters. There will be opportunities to take part in a Whiskey Tasting at 4pm and the Naughty Bawdy Pub Show will begin at 8pm.
Your visit wouldn’t be the same with the food and drink the RenFest is known for, so the Aleing Knight Pub, 1572 Roadhouse Bar-B-Q, 3 Fools Pub and the Tiki Bar will all be open for your dining pleasure. Also over 20 booths will be open for your shopping pleasure.
There is also an option to purchase a ticket which includes a 5 course Madrigal Feast for $79. You’ll be dining with the Queen and your favorite Willy Nilly villagers in a night of food, drink, song, and play and you’ll receive a collectible 2020 King Mug and 2020 ORF pin. All courses will be served by costumed characters, except the fruit & cheese platter.
All employees and customers are required to wear masks except for eating or drinking or when 6 feet social distancing between people/groups can be done. A voluntary touchless temperature screening tent will be available prior to entering the village for guests. Social distancing will be in effect in lines for beverages, seating, stage seating, and ticketing. A minimum of 12 feet will be between the stage and the audience. Additional hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the village.
