Space Three, a boutique fitness studio, will open downtown at 39 South St. Clair Street on Saturday, November 9. The studio will offer nearly two dozen group fitness classes per week across three different formats: BootyBarre, SWERK dance cardio and TRX (Total Body Resistance Exercise).

The instructors are ready to teach classes starting Saturday!

Lindsey Deck

“Space Three is about capturing this notion of our humanity that good things come in threes,” said Lindsey Deck, Space Three founder. “Mind, body and soul. Earth, wind and fire. Rock, paper and scissors. I want Space Three to be a third gathering place outside of home and work where people can breathe, sweat and stretch.”

“Space Three is open to everyone, regardless of their fitness,” Deck continued. “Whether it’s your first time working out or you’re a seasoned vet, you are welcome here. My goal for this space is that everyone will feel better when they leave than when they came in.”

During its grand opening on November 9, Space Three will host seven free classes beginning at 7 a.m. Classes are open to the public, and babysitting is available during classes. Santa Clara Juicery will be on-site offering juices, juice shots and protein bites from 8 a.m. to noon. A variety of class passes ranging from drop-in to annual memberships will be available for purchase at a 25% discount.

After its grand opening, Space Three’s class times will vary each day but provide downtown residents, students and employees with a variety of morning, mid-day and evening options throughout the week.

Babysitting is available on-site during some classes, and showers and locker rooms are available for use before and after class.

About Lisa Grigsby

Lisa Grigsby is a Special Events Director with over thirty years experience in promotions, event coordination and public relations.

Owning Jokers Comedy Cafe for 20 years taught Lisa to maintain a sense of humor under pressure. She credits Leadership Dayton for exposing her to the amazing assets of the region and Clothes That Work for being her reason she stayed in Dayton. Her proudest accomplishment as a past president of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association was creating Restaurant Week, a twice a year tradition that continues to grow and benefit local charities as well. As a foodie, it's only natural that she continues to promote local restaurateurs with DaytonDining.

As a Dayton Catalyst, her desire to have ONE community calendar and advocate for the amazing assets of the region helped create the vision for the relaunch of DaytonMostMetro, now Dayton 937.com
