Ultimately, the chance to serve food permanently at The Barrel House lined up well with my vision of a more consistent food operation and that’s where we landed in late Aug 2025. We have just begun operating again at this location with plans to operate here all year long.
Dayton Street Eats is starting a new chapter, by opening their food truck at at The Barrel House tomorrow, March 4th and every Wednesday through Saturday, 11am to 11pm.
We’re going to start the Dayton Street Snacks – “Snack Party 2026” – off exactly how we left it last year. You know, let everyone get reacquainted with the classics:
Burgers, Brussels, Bacon, Mac n Cheeses, Grilled Cheeses, Chimichurri, Old Bae, Crab Cakes and Crab Rolls.
That is…before we expand the menu into a 12 page novelette, ala Cheesecake Factory…coming this spring…or heck…maybe even later this week.

“While we have a ton of delicious options, all made from scratch and with local products when possible, including burgers, mac n cheese, grilled sandwiches, and more, my favorite items to cook are the daily and weekly specials. Coming up with and trying out new dishes keeps everything exciting for me. Customers love when new items come out every week too. Watch our social media because we’ll announce new specials on a whim if productions from the markets and stores pop up that look amazing and inspire me,” says Johnson.
