It’s not just about frosting and sprinkles—National Donut Day was created in 1938 by the Salvation Army to honor the “Donut Lassies,” women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. It’s a feel-good mix of patriotism, nostalgia, and comfort food.

Whether you’re enjoying a free donut from your favorite shop or just appreciating the sweet joy they bring, National Donut Day is a reminder that even small treats can create big smiles. 🍩🌞🍩

Many of our  local shops give away free donuts or offer big discounts.
Here’s where you can find the deals:

Baker Benji’s

6am – 2pm
preorder a dozen glazed donut for $10

Bear Creek Donuts

Dunkin’ gives away a free doughnut of your choice with any beverage purchase. Krispy Kreme is giving away a free doughnut of your choice, no purchase necessary.

Speedway Rewards members can get a classic glazed doughnut for just 50 cents

Krispy Kreme  is giving away one free doughnut to all customers, no purchase necessary, on June 6. And, because just one doughnut isn’t enough, you can get a dozen original glazed doughnuts for just $2 when you buy any other dozen at the regular price.
