Miami Valley Meals is launching a fundraiser that is taking the talents of their chefs and dedicated volunteers to craft flavorful pierogies to support their mission.
Miami Valley Meals (MVM) serves those who serve the hungry. MVM recovers and transforms donated food into meals, and then distributes them through nonprofit partners that feed the hungry. They provide nourishing meals made with love that honor the dignity of people in need.
Each order includes 12 frozen pierogies filled with potatoes and cheese for $12 and they are vegetarian friendly.
To prepare your pierogies at home:
- Begin by melting butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- While the butter is melting, boil the frozen pierogies in lightly salted water until they float to the top.
- Remove the pierogies from the boiling water, drain, and add them to the skillet with the melted butter.
- Cook the pierogies over medium heat until lightly golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with sour cream and chives and/or more melted butter.
This is a pre-order event. All orders must be placed online using this order form, and all orders must be picked up at one of the dates provided. All customers are prompted to select their preferred date/time at checkout. They will NOT be processing payments on-site at MVM or over the phone—online pre-order only!!
