This Thursday at Cox Arboretum from 5-7pm hundreds of ceramic bowls will be filled with homemade soups from some of the Miami Valley’s best local chefs. You will be able to select the bowl of your choice and have it filled and re-filled with whatever soup you desire and the bowl is yours to keep after the event!
The Empty Bowls fundraiser features Lobster Bisque from Chef George Sideras of Nestle, Cream of Mushroom Parmesan from Chef Laura Cotton of the Engineer’s Club, Smoked Chicken Enchilada from James Nunez, Chicken Rice from Christopher’s Restaurant and Catering, Butternut Squash from the Racquet Club, Chicken Pasta from Doubleday’s Grill and Tavern and more. Ashley’s Pastry Shop of Oakwood will donate sweets for dessert.
Your $25 donation benefits the House of Bread, a community kitchen located in Dayton that serves up a hot, nutritious, lunchtime meal to anyone in need 7 days a week from 11:30am-1pm. Anyone in need is welcome to join the House of Bread for lunch.
You may pre-register or bring cash, check or credit card to the event. Pre-registrations on the website will be entered into the special gift basket drawing and will have a speedy check-in upon arrival.
